Basic IT Knowledge
Basic IT knowledge and computer skills. It is recognized by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and accepted by ASEP for recruitment in the public sector. The level reflects the knowledge of an average user, who has the potential of using office applications at a satisfactory level, in order to be productive in the modern and demanding work environment.
Syllabus / Modules
Intermediate includes the following modules:
- Computer Skills and File Management
- Word Processing
- Excel Spreadsheets
- Internet services
- Databases
- Presentations
To whom it is addressed:
- People of any age wishing to prove their knowledge of Microsoft Office, the Internet and Windows.
- Private businesses and organizations that wish to set specific computer knowledge standards for their executives.
- People who wish to apply for a job in the public sector and, in order to do so, they need to prove their knowledge with a certificate recognized by EOPPEP.
Certification Procedure
Each module is examined separately within a specific time frame. The duration of the examination for each module is 50 minutes and a passing minimum score is 70%. Depending on the type of Intermediate Certificate they wish to receive, candidates can choose the respective test modules :
Intermediate A:
- Word Processing
- Excel Spreadsheets
- Internet services
- (modules required by the Greek state for public sector recruiting)
Intermediate B:
- Word Processing
- Excel Spreadsheets
- Internet services
- Data Bases or Presentations
- (modules required by the Greek state for public sector recruiting, and additionally, Databases or Presentations, by choice).
Intermediate C:
- Computer Skills and File Management
- Word Processing
- Excel Spreadsheets
- Internet services
- Databases
- Presentations
- (all modules).
There is possibility of issuing certificates for individual modules or for combination of modules beyond Intermediate A, B ή C. Intermediate Syllabus
